Bloor Street Condo

Full Service Interior Design | downtown toronto

This dated downtown condo needed a serious style upgrade! With the original builder’s grade finishes, and previous owners personal touches of mirrors and a rock wall in the kitchen - the client required our help to see past it all, and design with its true potential in mind. Our goal was to create a liveable, yet elevated environment. We wanted to provide the homeowner with a serene ensuite to get ready in, a spot to enjoy her morning coffee, and a space to entertain on the weekends.

A little drama was infused throughout the guest bath and front foyer with applied moldings, a warm walnut veneered vanity, and our favourite, a hint of vintage glam with the classic checkered marble floors.

In the kitchen, floor to ceiling pantries provided ample storage space so counters can be kept clutter free. Leathered black quartz and a matte white subway tile layer in texture and keep with the homeowner’s dream of a crisp bright space.

This saturated palette was carried into the living space with the charcoal wood coffee table and a dark plush weave sofa. The perfect spot to relax after a long day.

No storage and cramped layouts meant that organization was a constant issue. With some floorplan tweaks we were able to add open shelving and a larger vanity to the principal ensuite. A large glass shower also helped to open the space and create that spa-like feeling.
